Campaign for Gender Balance - Bringing Balance Through Support

Spring Conference 2007: CGB to help local parties support women

12.37.05pm GMT Thu 15th Feb 2007

The Campaign for Gender Balance is pleased to announce its training schedule for Spring Conference 2007, which is listed in full below.

As part of the campaign's renewed focus on the role of the party grassroots in supporting women to consider standing for Parliament, a very special event has been added to the programme. Jo Swinson MP, Chair of the Campaign for Gender Balance, will lead a panel in a discussion of what it takes to support women through all stages of the candidate process, with an opportunity for questions and contributions from the floor.

The event is open to men and women, and is particularly relevant to Gender Balance mentors and activists, and local parties keen to make the most of the talents of their women members. Times and details can be found below; if your local party is interested (or should be!) in stepping up its efforts to help women come forward, make sure they know about How to Support Women.
