Nicola re-selected to fight Hodge Hill3.42.00pm GMT Sat 6th Nov 2004
Hodge Hill Liberal Democrats have today re-selected Nicola Davies to fight Hodge Hill at the General Election. Nicola was re-selected unanimously, Labour currently have a 460 vote majority in the Hodge Hill constituency and is one of the Liberal Democrats top target seats. Nicola Davies said "I am delighted to have been re-selected and am determined to win in May, or whenever Tony Blair decides to let the people have their say on his administration. I would like to thank Hodge Hill Liberal Democrats for re-selecting me, after the by-election I took some time out and thought long and hard about re-standing, there were many other things I had to think about including of course my wedding! After a number of Liberal Democrats and members of the public approached me to re-stand, I discussed it with my husband Simon and together we decided that I should stand and stand to win. I look to campaigning over the next few months and becoming the Member of Parliament at the Election."
