Scottish Women Lib Dems raise profile

Scottish Women Lib Dems and the Gender Balance Task force joined forces to raise their profile and money at the recent Scottish Liberal Democrats Conference.

Their fundraising initiative was a variation on a raffle, with names of MPs on the raffle tickets and prizes awarded for drawing out a ticket with the name of a woman MP. Special prizes were on display for finding a ticket with the name of one of the 6 Lib Dem women MPs.

Players could feel happy that they were contributing to bettering their odds at future Conferences, as the money raised will go towards helping to elect more Lib Dem women as MPs!

Scotland has selected 4 women candidates in the top 5 target seats, and hopes to see Marilyn MacLaren, Jo Swinson, Vicki Harris and Patsy Kenton joining the team in Westminster after the next General Election.
