E-mail: vicky.booth@libdems.org.uk A Day in the Life of an MP!9.00am to 5.00pm GMT Tue 14th Jul 2009, at Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London Have you ever wondered what life as an MP is really like? Are you standing, or considering standing, as a candidate and want the opportunity to find out more about the job? As part of our initiative to encourage and support women parliamentary candidates, the Campaign for Gender Balance is planning a Parliamentary 'Open Day'. This event aims to give potential candidates a taste of life as an MP, and hopefully inspire them to make it their future career! The day will include the opportunity to shadow an MP and find out what the role involves on a day-to-day basis, as well as a lunch reception and other activities for attendees during the day. The date of the event has not yet been finalised, but is likely to be Wednesday 8th July or Tuesday 14th July. If you are interested in participating in this event, please register your interest and specify your preferred date by Wednesday 17th June. Places on the day are unfortunately limited, so participants must be seriously considering a career in Parliament to be eligible to attend. If you are interested in attending the event, please contact the Campaign Organiser, Vicky Booth, on Vicky.booth@libdems.org.uk or phone 020 73404992.
